Tenby 10K 2009,
generously
sponsored for a third year byCoastal
Cottages of Pembrokeshire, takes place on Sunday July
26th at 11.00 am. Coastal Cottages are again offering
prizes of a weekend break to the firt male runner and
first female runner to complete the Tenby 10K 2009. Please
see important
details below.
The run is organised by
the TROT running club, St Clears, with support on the day
from Tenby
Leisure Centre.

T-shirts and medals will be presented to
all finishers. Trophies will also be presented in various age
group categories.
Race numbers have increased steadily over the years, and
chip timing will be used for the first
time in 2009. Instructions will be provided to all entrants.
Due to the complexity of marshalling this race, we regret
that children's races will not take place in 2009.
Unfortunately,
over the years the numbers taking part in the junior races
have dwindled, and extra marshalls and other helpers are
now needed to support the main run.

Forms and Fees |
|
To enter the 10K
simply download a race form
here. The postal address for entries is on
the form. Be sure to include your race fee and an S.A.E.,
and apply in plenty of time.
*Fees are £10 in advance and £12
on the day for non-affiliated runners. Fees for runners registered
with AAW or UKA are £8 in advance and £10 on the day.
Entries are available on the day,
but will not be accepted after 10.30 a.m.
There will be no exceptions to this rule, as all details
have to be entered into the chip timing system prior to the
race and we regret the start cannot be delayed for late entrants.
The Tenby area can be very busy in the summer, so if you
plan to enter on the day, please do allow plenty of time
to travel to the event, park and get changed, etc.
* We regret that there has been a small increase in the
entry fees this year. The race organisers
now provide t-shirts, medals, and chip timing for
over 200 runners, as well meet costs for first aid, water,
facilities and administration. The considerable cost of putting
on the race is subsidised by sponsorship and the many volunteers
on the day who give up their time for free to make the event
possible.
