Welcome to the website of the Taf Running & Orienteering Team (TROTs), based in St Clears, South West Wales. The club competes in road, multi-terrain and cross country races across West Wales, the UK and around the world.
TROTs running club was formed in October 1986, with some of the founding members still being involved in the club today.
We have particularly strong veterans and ladies teams, including Welsh internationals and champions at distances from 5k to the Marathon. However, the club includes runners of all abilities, so there is always someone to train with at a speed and distance to suit you :-)
On the site, you will find an events diary and results of recent races, as well as news and links to local running clubs and other relevant websites.
The TROTs holds various club races during the year which are open to all runners. These include:
New for this year is the Bwlchybuster MT. This race is in lieu of the traditional Dambusters MT which has been cancelled for 2018 as the Llys-y-Fran county park is closed for redevelopment. The Bwlchybuster MT will provide a great alternative for those seeking their fix of multi-terrain running. The distance will be approximately 10km with the race starting outside Bwlchygroes school.
The Tenby 10K takes place on Sunday 29st July 2018 - and follows an undulating course through the scenic Pembrokeshire seaside town and nearby village of Penally.
St Clears 10K on Sunday 19th August 2018 - a road race along the hilly lanes surrounding the village of St Clears in Carmarthenshire. Results for 2017 (with thanks to onlineraceresults.org.uk)
We look forward to racing with you soon!
